Rely on Ed Mulock with complete confidence

Ed Mulock has earned a reputation as one of the state's most highly respected practicing trial lawyers, with 30 years of experience. The firm concentrates in the areas of marital, family and criminal law plus complex cases involving personal injury and wrongful death, professional malpractice and product liability.

He has built his practice on standards considered as hallmarks of legal and professional excellence. These standards include competence, prudence, trustworthiness, and commitment to philanthropic endeavors.

Competence

Less than 3% of Florida's attorneys have the experience and knowledge to be board certified. Ed Mulock is certified in civil trial law. What does that mean to you?

Board Certification helps consumers find a lawyer who has demonstrated ability and experience in specialized fields of law. By requiring lawyers to continue his or her education in specialty fields, certification also helps improve competence.

To become a certified specialist, a lawyer must:

  • be an active member in good standing of the Florida Bar
  • Have practiced law for a minimum of five years
  • Pass a written examination in the specialty area
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in the specialty area
  • Complete approved continuing education programs
  • Have the ability and experience in the specialty area evaluated by judges and other lawyers.

Certification is granted for five years. To be recertified requirements similar to to those for initial certification must be met.

Only a lawyer certified by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialists is entitled to state the he or she is 'board certified' or a 'specialist' on business cards, letterhead, in legal directories, etc.

Confidence

Certification validates an attorney's competence, and gives you a way to judge ability and experience in specialized fields of law. Board certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar, assuring you that the individual has the ability, the specialized knowledge, the experience, and the good standing you want in an attorney.

Complex litigation demands considerable skill and experience. Ed Mulock is proficient in medical research, illustrative evidence, innovative models, computer simulations and other sophisticated materials and techniques that help clarify the difficult issues required to win cases.

Prudence

Often people need an attorney when they are least capable of making a considered decision. You may be disoriented because of mental stress, dealing with a physical injury, or traumatized by loss. Under such stress, it is easy to be lured by false hopes of quick, large settlements. You could find yourself making rash and ill advised legal decisions which you might later regret.

Philanthropy

We believe all professionals owe a debt to the community in which they live, and a debt to their profession, as well.

In a cooperative effort of community leaders, we provide pro bono legal services. Mr Mulock also generously offers his time and talents to business and civic concerns. He actively serves as an officer and / or director of many foundations, charitable organizations, civic clubs, legal associations and religious organizations.

He is the founder and president of The Foundation for Dreams, Inc., a non profit organization that operates the Dream Oaks Camp, providing an inclusive barrier free environment for children 7-18 to enjoy day and residential camping activities. Specialized sessions provide service to children who are chronically ill, have physical or developmental disabilities and those considered to be at risk.

In recognition of his service to the community, Ed Mulock was awarded the Manatee County Bar Association 'Commmunity Service Leader Award' on June 6, 2002.
